The Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, and came into effect on 26 January 1950.( ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ 26 ਨਵੰਬਰ 1949 ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਪਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ  ਅਤੇ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ  )

Note – Constituent Assembly - ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਸ਼ਭਾ ਹੈ. ਇਹ ਸਭਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਭੰਗ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ. ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ  Constituent Assembly ਨੇ  2 ਸਾਲ 11 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਅੱਤੇ 18 ਦਿਨ ਲਾਏ
